As well as a wide range of paints and wallpapers, Wardgroup Interiors also offers a range of paint brushes and wallpaper brushes to help you get the job done.
When choosing a paint brush for a job you need to consider what size of brushes you will need to complete the job. Most interior decorating projects will require a brush between 1″ and 4″ with smaller brushes ideal for window trims and detailed work and larger brushes handy for applying paint to larger areas or cutting in walls. A better quality brush will apply paint more evenly and can be cleaned and used again, whereas cheaper brushes sometimes lose bristles and consistency over time.
There are a wide range of wallpaper brushes available to buy online and you need to ensure you get the correct one for your needs. Wallpaper brushes tend to have softer bristles than paint brushes as they are used to spread adhesive onto the back of lining papers and wallpapers in an even manner, without causing damage to the wallpaper itself. If a paint brush is used, the adhesive is unlikely to be as well spread which can cause lumps when the wallpaper is hung, also, firmer bristles may damage the wallpaper.
There are generally two types of brushes for wallpaper. One is used to apply the adhesive to either the wallpaper or directly onto the wall and have typically soft, acrylic bristles which are easy to keep clean. The second type are even softer and usually have fibre bristles, which are designed to smooth wallpaper once it is on the wall to remove any air bubbles that may form during the hanging process.
